Bushkill Falls: Part Two

In part one, we visited the Main Falls.  In part two we are going hiking to the Bridemaid’s Falls, Bridal Veil Falls, and Penwell Falls.  It is approximately a 2 mile hike from the Main Falls to the Bridemaid’s Falls through the woods, along the stream.  Then another approximate mile (or less) to Penwell Falls.

The first waterfall you will encounter is the Bridemaid’s Falls.

It’s a sight to be seen, especially in the summer with all the green foliage that surrounds it.
Right above is Bridal Veil Falls - just as magnificent.

Along the journey to Penwell Falls, you will encounter another Bridemaid.

A little smaller than the first, but no less a waterfall.  You will be hiking through the woods and hearing the chipmunks and the squirrels gather their harvest and munching on nuts and seeds.  Then you will get to Penwell Falls.  Flatter than the others but still fresh clean water.

Rhododendrons grow all along the trail and around the several waterfalls in the summer.
Bushkill Falls is one of my favorite places and should be on the bucket list of anyone who loves nature.  You can pack a lunch and enjoy it in the picnic area or you may purchase eats from one of the little stores by the entrance.  As long as you hold on to your ticket you can re-enter the trails all day.
