View of Lake Lure from Chimney Rock.
Lake Lure has a beach area with some slides and amusements for the kids. The area closes sometime after Labor Day and opens around Memorial Day. Right behind the beach area across the road is the Lake Lure Inn and Spa. For more information on the Lake Lure Inn and Spa go here: http://lakelure.com/about-the-inn-2/

The Gazebo is in Morse Park and is large. They have weddings there. On one of my walks, I saw people setting up one. Around the Gazebo are several flowers and flowering bushes. You will find several breeds of birds darting in and out of bushes whom have their nests there.
Photo I took of Gazebo from Boardwalk across from it.
When you walk around Morse Park, you will see Chimney Rock and the mountains in the background. You will also see inlets of pools of water where everything from dragonflies to hummingbirds to ducks live. There are also docks placed around the lake for fishing or relaxing. And of course there are boats for renting.

I go to Lake Lure for the Flora and Fauna and Wildlife. If you walk on the French Broad Bridge you will see flowers galore as they plant every Spring. When you are on the Bridge, look down, because more than likely you will see a flock of Canada Geese swim by. And don’t forget to stop at Carolina Moon for a cup of coffee on your way back. As I had stated earlier, there are various breeds of wildlife that stop by Lake Lure due to it’s allure. Several breeds of ducks make a visit, as well as Herons. Also there are several species of Native Plants.

I love Lake Lure and Chimney Rock close by. There is so much to do around the area and I’ve only touched on it briefly here. This is to be continued in the future. : )
